Post-Jam Update


The jam is complete! Thank you so much to everyone who played, rated, or commented on Reclamation. I had a blast making it, and I'm glad that folks have enjoyed playing it.

Most of the feedback during the jam related to the game being a bit too easy and a bit too fast. With that in mind, I've reworked the pacing of the game. In general, this should make the game a little longer and emphasize the adaptations, encouraging the player to use builds with all 5 AP to beat the game.

  • Fixed a bug where plots could be placed out of bounds.
  • Updated victory screen. You can now choose between ending your run and looping again.
  • Huge numbers should no longer overflow into the negatives. Although you can still break the numbers in the game! They'll just say "huge" now if they got too big.
  • Mushling price scales more slowly.
  • Moved free adaptations to 1/3/5 AP spent from 0/2/4 AP spent.
  • Increased Reclaim and AP thresholds. Final Reclaim threshold is now 1b.
  • Underground upgrade scaling is now much higher across the board, but is additive instead of multiplicative. This should result in a faster early game, but make it harder to brute force the game by just spending compost.
  • Added a new late-game upgrade to buff Mush Colonies and help them compete with Hives.
  • Increased the water output of Covens.
